Can the Honeymoon Really Be Over For Good?

Nancy Speaks Out About Shattered Dreams

When asked recently in an exclusive Nancy and Paul 2002 Official Wedding Website interview, if her expectations had been met during her first year of marriage, Nancy had this to say:

"Hmmm. That's hard to say. I guess adjusting to Paul's children has been the hardest part of it all. Once Pete [the nanny] left, there was no one to deal with them. When the little one, Johnny - I think [the child's name is Freddy], started to call me 'Mommy', I knew something had to give. I mean, I'm NOT his mother, you know. I made this very clear to him. After a week, I found a nice little school up in Vermont that would take them all. It's been so much better since they left. We still keep in touch, of course. I mail them pictures of Paul and me when we go on trips and I always send them oranges for their birthdays.

When asked how the relationship had changed, if at all, during the first year, Nancy had this to offer:

"Well, I was a little disheartened early on when Paul began to stay at the office later and later. Since my office is now in our home, sometimes I get cabin fever and need another person to talk to. It bothered me when Paul wasn't home til the wee hours of the morning! Then, I resolved the problem by hiring Jock to be my assistant. He helps with paperwork and we talk and talk for hours! He's relatively new to the business world, but is very eager to learn and is not put off by my passionate temperament...unlike others. As soon as I saw Jock, I somehow knew he was the one!"

When asked how Paul felt about Jock, Nancy refused to comment, but then blurted:
That's between me and Jock and Paul! That's all I'll say.
When Nancy and Paul 2002 Official Wedding Website tried to reach Paul for his comments about Jock and the first year of marriage, he was unavailable. His publicist did call us back later and give us this statement:
"What Paul and Nancy have may appear to be a strange arrangement [with Jock], but if it is working for them, or at least for Nancy, then who is to judge? And, I'd like to add that the charges reported against the dean of the school Paul's children are attending in Vermont are completely false and unfounded. Paul has complete trust in Nancy's ability to find an appropriate place for his children to blossom. She is very loving and always sends them the best navel oranges Florida has to offer."
